Devon Werkheiser (born March 8, 1991) is an American actor, voice actor, singer-songwriter and musician, best known for his starring role as Ned Bigby on the Nickelodeon sitcom Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide and for his role in the 2007 TV Movie Shredderman Rules, as the lead character Nolan Byrd. Werkheiser also played Peter Parkes in the fourth and final season of the ABC Family show Greek.

Early life and career[]

Werkheiser was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Johns Creek, Georgia. His parents enrolled him in acting classes at the Talent Factory, a local children’s acting program. After landing a minor role in We Were Soldiers, Werkheiser and his mother moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. Since his arrival in Hollywood, Werkheiser has landed several television and film roles, the biggest of which is that of Ned Bigby on Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. Recently, Werkheiser was cast in two significant roles in the movies The First Time and The Prankster, both of which feature his music. While he was in Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, he dated his co-star Lindsey Shaw for a couple of years until the couple split in late 2009.

Music career[]

Werkheiser signed to Virgin Records for his debut studio album, which was titled Fading Into Glory. His album, which has been described as being a combination of pop punk and teen pop, features him singing and playing electric and acoustic guitars. Werkheiser went on mall tour to promote the release of the album. To promote the album release, Werkheiser went to Limited Too stores and signed autographs. His first single "Falling Right Into You", was released November 15, 2005 to top-40 radio stations and as a CD and DVD single to Limited Too stores. The music video was directed by Chris Applebaum and filmed on October 7, 2005 and premiered on Nickelodeon on October 22, 2005 and it features Werkheiser staring at a girl in a library intercut with scenes of him performing with his band in an vacant warehouse with him playing his electric blue Les Paul. The video was played frequently on Nickelodeon and The N to promote the album release. His second single "Back to Forever", was released in early 2006, and also had a music video which featured Werkheiser going after a breakup.

He released his first EP named I Am on June 25, 2013.
