Escape is an upcoming American disaster film directed by Donovan Arachid. The film stars Zoe Saldana, Josh Duhamel, Bruce Boxleitner, Victoria Moroles, Charlie Heaton and Kyle Chandler.

The film is scheduled to be released by Worldwide Pictures and Craytel Studios Motion Pictures in theatres, in regular, Real D 3D, and IMAX 3D formats on May 25, 2018.

Plot[]

A calm day in London turns disastrous when an oil drill rig triggers a devastating 9.5 magnitude earthquake. As roads start to open up and buildings crumble, firefighter Diana Armando navigates across the city to save her family as a massive tsunami heads towards them.

Production[]

On November 28, 2016, a disaster film under Worldwide Pictures was announced by Craytel, with Ellie Maestrum and Axel Torres set to produce. A final draft of the script was finished by March 2017 from Wyatt Joon and Lita Soriano. On April 12, Zoe Saldana was set to star in the film as lead character Diana Armando, while the studio scouted for a director to start production mid 2017.

It was announced on May that Donovan Arachid will direct the film, with Josh Duhamel and Bruce Boxleitner joining the cast not long after. Charlie Heaton and Victoria Moroles was cast, with Moroles as the daughter of Saldana's character.

Filming[]

Principal photography on the film began on July 10, 2017 in London, United Kingdom, where most of the film takes place. On October 3, production continued at Craytel Studios in Burbank, California.

Release[]

Escape is scheduled to be released on May 25, 2018 in 3D and IMAX by Worldwide Pictures.
